Shopping was always the most enjoyed, satisfying activity to do in South Korea among foreigners up until 2017.
But starting last year, the so-called foodie tour topped the chart.
Actually, foreign tourists' interest in these foodie tours has been gradually increasing, but that number jumped sharply from 2017 to 2018,...reaching almost 30 percent.

Now you're probably wondering what kind of street food foreigners go crazy for.
So I traveled to the most popular spot...I'm sure you know, Myeongdong
Of course, Korean rice cake Tteokbokki , fried dumplings and fish cake with warm, flavorful broth are classic Korean street food.
These are the dishes that locals including myself enjoy,...for me, it's my go to comfort food.
And even though Tteokbokki's normally spicy, foreigners seem to really enjoy the unique chewiness and hint of spiciness.
"Great. Great food. It's simple and very clean, very tasty. A bit spicy, but really great. I just tried the rice cake, I didn't know it before even though I've tried another Korean street food...fried dumpling, beef barbeque, and other things I don't know how to name because I just bought them because I like them."

(Comment) + I've noticed that Korean street food has really broadened its scope. To be honest, I thought it used to be a bit samey, but now you can get a bit of everything while you are out and about...

Right, from traditional to modern,...Korean street food satisfies all taste buds.
Of course, it isn't hard to spot traditional, traditional Korean food like Korean pancakes known as Buchimgae and Jeon .
While I was waiting in line to get some Jeon , I bumped into another Jeon lover from Spain.
"It's really good, I love seafood, so I really like it. It's one of my favorite Korean food. I love Japchae and then Korean barbeque. It's my three favorite things. I think it's so different from my food Spanish food.
Everyone comes here for shopping and for food. My friend was coming for shopping and I was coming for food. "

And of course, Korean fried chicken, Dakgangjeong is another must have snack.
Bite sized boneless chicken with Korean sweet and spicy sauce has such a flavorful crunch like no other chicken.
The crispy skin and juicy me
