To showcase my WIP on Mai Kawasumi for this channel, I figured I'd post a sample for one of her two gimmicks. This one is for Syoukaki, a fire extinguisher projectile that hits overhead and has an arcing trajectory. If the opponent is hit by it, they are engulfed in mist for up to 8 seconds or ends prematurely if Mai is hit.<br /><br /> In order of showing as of the video, the mist inflicts these status effects.<br /><br />1. All variations of Scatter will put the target in stagger if they block the attack.<br />2. Single Stroke becomes unblockable and will make the opponent so flammable that they take additional damage from being engulfed in flames while in hitstun or guardstun.<br />3. Cutting the Chaff becomes unblockable and depletes 500 power from the target.<br /><br /> There are other status effects, but these are the most visible atm.
