The foreign and defense ministers of Russia and Japan met in Tokyo on Thursday,... to discuss a range of issues,... including the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.<br />During the so-called "two-plus-two" meeting,... the top diplomats of the two sides have agreed to push for denuclearization of North Korea.<br />Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said Moscow's position on the situation on the Korean Peninsula is very close to that of Japan.<br />The two-plus-plus meeting was first launched in November 2013 in a bid to build confidence between the two countries.<br />
