This is the moment a rampaging elephant rammed a tuk-tuk in an eastern Indian town. <br /><br />The impact toppled the vehicle and flung the terrified passengers to the ground. <br /><br />The wild elephant then dragged the tuk-tuk for a few feet before running away.<br /><br />Two passengers were hurt in the incident which occurred in Madarihat town in Alipurduar district in eastern India on May 31.<br /><br />The elephant was part of an 11-member herd, which entered the town and ran amok looking for food. <br /><br />In a separate incident, an elderly woman was trampled to death by one of the creatures.<br /><br />After the incident, local residents blocked the road in protest against the threat posed to them by elephants. <br /><br />Forest officials visited the town and assured locals that the elephants would be relocated. <br /><br />Divisional Forest Officer Bimal Kumar said the family of the victim would be compensated.
