President Moon Jae-in will hold talks in the coming hours with visiting acting Pentagon chief Patrick Shanahan.<br />Officials at the top office say the South Korean leader will urge Shanahan to support Seoul's diplomatic efforts to denuclearize North Korea.<br />Shanahan will also meet with South Korea's defense minister Jeong Kyeong-doo.<br />They'll discuss the latest developments on the Korean Peninsula as well as efforts to ensure the transfer of wartime operational control of South Korean forces to the host country runs smoothly.<br />
