The Seoul Metropolitan Government will erect four-hundred tree shade canopies near crosswalks and on traffic islands by 2022 to protect people against the scorching summer sun.<br />It says it will plant over six-hundred trees and install benches,... investing 335-thousand U.S. dollars annually for the next three years.<br />By the end of this year,... the city government plans to finish 113 tree shade canopies.<br />As well as providing pedestrians with some relief from the summer heat, the move is also expected to improve air quality in the capital.<br />
