South Korea and the Philippines have begun negotiating their free trade agreement here in Seoul on Monday.... with the goal of concluding the talks by November.<br />South Korea's trade minister Yoo Myung-hee said,.... that the free trade agreement between the two countries will open up trade and investment opportunities by securing economic partners in ASEAN and Northeast Asia.<br />The trade agreement is also expected to create the foundations to promote the Moon administration's 'New Southern Policy.'<br />The Philippines is already part of a trade agreement with Seoul through the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Area, which took effect in 2010.<br />
