There were slippery scenes as these snakes competed in a beauty pageant-style event to find the most attractive serpent.<br /><br />Snake lovers and breeders showed off their exotic pets at Thailand’s Giant Snake Award 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand on June 2. <br /><br />The competition was one of the highlights of the Pet Expo Thailand 2019 which was held at the Bitec building in the Bangna district of the capital this year. <br /><br />The snakes were categorised by species before they were scored by ten snake experts based on individual health, shape, size, behaviour, and colour.<br /><br />After the judges picked the winners from each category, the six best snakes faced off for 'The Best in Show' prize, which was the biggest award of the competition.<br /><br />The overall winner was an albino reticulated python named ‘The Sun’. It was considered to be the most attractive snake and could be worth more than 100,000 baht (2,500GBP).<br /><br />The owner of The Sun said: ''He's not for sale. I've had him since he was born and he's the most beautiful snake I've ever had. He is very relaxed and friendly.''
