Amazon Launches One-Day<br />Shipping for Prime Members In response to increased competition<br />from other retailers, Amazon has<br />announced free next-day delivery. The offer is available from “coast to coast”<br />across the United States to all Prime members. It requires no minimum<br />purchase and is available for<br />more than 10 million products. Amazon, via statement The company first announced their $800 million<br />one-day delivery plan back in April 2019. Their U.S. shipping network is now made up<br />of more than 100 fulfillment centers, 100 <br />delivery stations and a fleet of cargo planes. Its competitor, Walmart, announced their next-day<br />delivery service to 75% of the U.S. in May 2019. Walmart’s move utilizes its own<br />network of fulfillment centers as well<br />as their 4,700 stores across the U.S.
