장성화 주제네바 대표부 1등서기관, WTO TBT위원회 의장 선출<br /><br />A South Korean has been elected to a key post at the World Trade Organization.<br />That's Jang Sung-wha, who is Seoul's representative at its mission to the WTO in Geneva.<br />According to the foreign ministry, he'll be chairing the Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade until next year.<br />That committee seeks to provide member states with information on other countries' regulations on standards and certification.<br />Rising protectionism has led to greater regulation of technology, so the ministry said it hopes Jang's appointment will lead to greater implementation of technology regulation agreements.<br />
