정전 이후 첫 감시초소 '고성 최동북단 GP' 문화재됐다<br /><br />The first guard post South Korea set up along the DMZ after the 1953 armistice... has been officially recognized as part of South Korea's cultural heritage.<br />The Cultural Heritage Administration said Wednesday that the guard post, comprised of several buildings made of steel-reinforced concrete,... is located on the inter-border town of Goseong near the East Sea... and has been designated as Registered Cultural Heritage 752.<br />It's around 580 meters away from where the nearest North Korean guard post was before it was demolished.<br />The Goseong guard post was initially going to be demolished as well after last year's inter-Korean Comprehensive Military Agreement, but it was kept for historical reasons.<br />It's said to have a panoramic view that includes North Korea's Geumgang-san mountain. <br />
