한미, 대북 식량지원•돼지열병 방역 협력 방안 논의<br /><br />This morning, working-level officials from Seoul and Washington convened again to continue their discussion from the day before.<br />The foreign ministry did not elaborate on the agenda, but the two sides are thought to have discussed South Korea's plans to provide food aid to the North, worth some 8 million U.S. dollars. <br />They are also likely to have talked about measures to prevent the spread of swine fever, which was recently confirmed in the regime.<br />In order to prevent the fever from spreading to the South, Seoul had asked Pyeongyang to cooperate on fighting the outbreak, but the North has not responded yet.<br />The Agriculture Ministry has prepared diagnostic equipment and disinfectant in case the the regime asks for help. <br />
