The Isle of Portland in Dorset held a D-Day anniversary service to commemorate the 75th year since the event today (June 6).<br /><br />Veterans can be seen holding flags while wreaths were laid at the war memorial.<br /><br />The Isle of Portland was used as an embarkation point for mainly American personnel in the weeks leading up to the Normandy landings.
