New Orleans Music Legend <br />Dr. John Dead at 77 The six-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member died due to a heart attack on Thursday. Born Malcolm John Rebennack Jr, <br />he played keyboard for acts like <br />the Rolling Stones, Van Morrison and <br />Aretha Franklin. Dr. John originally played guitar, but was forced to switch to the keyboard after having his finger shot off while protecting a bandmate.
