Company Offers $1,000 to<br />Switch to a Flip Phone for a Week A Utah-based ISP named Frontier Bundles<br />has launched a competition called<br />the ‘Flip Phone Challenge.’ Applicants have until July 8 to enter, after<br />which one person will be selected to give up their<br />smartphone in favor of a flip phone for $1,000. Frontier Bundles,<br />via statement The company plans to track the user’s data,<br />including how long it takes to do basic tasks<br />such as texting and checking email. They also hope to log and observe<br />how the switch to a flip phone affects<br />sleep patterns and productivity. Frontier Bundles,<br />via statement The company will also provide a “handy-dandy<br />survival kit” that includes a physical map, a pocket<br />phonebook, a notepad and some CDs from the ‘90s.
