Russian president Vladimir Putin has slammed the United States for what he calls its attempts to push China's telecom giant Huawei out of the global market.<br />Speaking Friday at the St. Petersburg International Forum, which was also attended by his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping, Putin denounced Washington for recruiting its allies to blacklist Huawei.<br />He said that the U.S. has sought to impose its authority on countries around the world, which he said was contrary to the logic of normal cooperation among states.<br />He noted that some have called it the first technological war of the new digital era, and stressed that Russia supports economic relations that are democratic. <br />
