Flash floods swept a 4x4 away after the driver tried to force their way through the submerged road in southern China.<br /><br />The clip, captured in Ganzhou City in Jiangxi Province on June 7, shows a car getting stuck in the deep floodwater after it drove into the submerged street.<br /><br />The driver and one passenger were reportedly trapped in the car.<br /><br />Local villagers called the police and then used bamboo sticks to try and prevent the car from being washed away.<br /><br />The two people in the car opened the driver's window to escape and villagers on the bank used a stick to pull the driver back to safety.<br /><br />According to reports, the passenger drowned when rescuers found him after an hour.
