Pelicans Willing to Listen to Multiteam Deals for Anthony Davis Anthony Davis is on the
trading block this summer. The Clippers, Lakers, Knicks and Nets
are among the teams interested in
New Orleans' all-star forward. David Griffin, the Pelicans EVP of basketball
operations, is now open to multiteam trade
scenarios, according to ESPN. Including multiple teams in a trade could
expand the Pelicans' pool of assets. The Knicks and Lakers hold the No. 3 and
No. 4 picks in the 2019 NBA Draft. Griffin prefers to complete any deal involving
draft picks before the June 20 NBA Draft,
according to ESPN. The Pelicans already have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Davis requested a trade in January, with the Lakers as his preferred destination. Davis can sign a five-year, $235.5 million
supermax contract in July, but he is unwilling
to re-sign with New Orleans.
