Police in Russia have abruptly dropped drug charges against journalist Ivan Golunov,... a rare about-turn by authorities in the face of sharp opposition from his supporters.<br />The 36-year-old is well known for exposing corruption by officials in Moscow,... and was detained last Thursday on drug dealing charges,... an allegation he strongly denied.<br />Russia's interior minister said Tuesday that the criminal case against him was dropped due to a lack of evidence of any wrongdoing on his part.<br />Golunov walked out of a police station in central Moscow on Tuesday, met by hundreds of journalists who applauded him.<br />
