Flying taxis are no longer the thing of science fiction, they are now science fact... as Uber has announced a plan to launch the futuristic service in three cities by 2023.<br />The ridesharing company's vision for the flying taxi will be a quiet electric-powered aircraft that transports commuters between sky-ports on top of buildings.<br />Uber says the aircraft would initially be flown by a commercial pilot,... but would eventually become autonomous.<br />The service will launch initially in Melbourne, Dallas and Los Angeles,... with test flights expected to begin next year.<br />
