The U.S. State Department says it's ready and willing to engage with North Korea on a working level.<br />At a press briefing on Wednesday,... the department's spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said... the U.S. wants to make progress towards the promises it made with North Korea at the Singapore summit a year ago.<br />She added,... the U.S. is looking forward to building a bright economic future for North Korea, but sanctions will remain in effect in the run up to that.<br />Ortagus didn't confirm whether talks are currently taking place between the two sides.<br />
