In the UK, Boris Johnson enjoyed a landslide win in the first round of the Conservative Party leadership election on Thursday,.... winning more than twice as many votes as his closest rival Jeremy Hunt.<br />He garnered 114 votes to Hunt's 43.<br />Three candidates Andrea Leadsom, Esther McVey and Mark Harper were eliminated as they failed to secure at least 17 votes.<br />The next round of voting will take place next week and later this month, the two most popular candidates will face a final vote.<br />The new leader of the center-right party will be announced in late July.<br />The winner will take over from Theresa May as the next British Prime Minister.<br />
