아세안 10개국의 문화와 패션 선보이는 아세안위크 행사<br /><br />The ASEAN cultural festival opened on Friday in celebration of 30 years of dialogue relationships between member countries and South Korea.<br />Ten member countries will showcase aspects from their culture during the three-day event, including food, tourism, and fashion.<br />Lee Min-sun was at the festival on the opening day Seoul Plaza, in the heart of the city, is filled with exotic music and dance performances.<br />ASEAN Week 2019 kicked off on Friday afternoon with a music festival in celebration of the 30 year anniversary of building ties between ASEAN countries and South Korea.<br />The event is organized by the ASEAN-Korea Center, an intergovernmental body that has been running in Korea for a decade, to present the diverse cultures of the 10 South East Asian member countries.<br />ASEAN Week aims to strengthen people-to-people connections between Korea and ASEAN members through cultural festivals that feature music, fashion, food and tourism.<br />"By introducing various facets of ASEAN, I hope the Korean public can better understand and like their cultures."<br />Cultural performances, design exhibitions and tourism booths are presented during the event.<br /> A fashion festival on the second day will feature traditional ASEAN fashion combined with a contemporary touch. Honorary ambassadors and families of ambassadors to Korea will walk the runway showing off outfits.<br /> The organizers hope to garner public attention ahead of the ASEAN-South Korea Commemorative Summit scheduled for this November.<br />"Anyone with an interest in the ASEAN culture is invited to participate in the event that runs till Sunday and experience food, fashion and tourism of South East Asian countries.<br />Lee Min-sun Arirang News." <br />
