Blige will receive it at the annual ceremony, which is set to air live on June 23. Her long-running music career includes nine Grammys and eight multi-platinum albums. She will join previous BET lifetime achievement <br />honorees, including Prince, Whitney Houston, <br />Diana Ross and more. It was also announced earlier this week that Tyler Perry will receive the Ultimate Icon accolade at the event.
