Stunning parade delights spectators in Bolivian capital

Tens of thousands lined the streets of the Bolivian capital on Saturday for the "Jesus of Great Power" procession - one of the city's most important and vibrant religious festivals.<br /><br />The parade covers about 8 kilometres (4.9 miles) and the dancing can last for more than 14 hours.<br /><br />This year around 40,000 dancers took part alongside 7,000 musicians. <br /><br />Many dancers wore typical Andean clothing as well as silver masks, hats and pieces of jewellery.<br /><br />The parade pays homage to an image of Christ from Spanish colonial times and has been celebrated annually for the past century.
