Malaysians gather in solidarity with Hong Kong protesters

In a show of solidarity with protesters in Hong Kong, a group of about 50 Malaysians rallied in Kuala Lumpur today against the region's proposed extradition law with mainland China.<br /><br />However, police barred protesters from marching towards the city centre.<br /><br />Protesters gathered outside the Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall (KLSCAH) from 2.45pm, dressed in black and carrying placards that read "Solidarity with Hong Kong" and "Anti-extradition law."<br /><br />After being blocked from marching, the crowd staged a silent protest by sitting on the road in front of KLSCAH.
