'대세 자리잡은 SUV'…신차 2대중 1대는 SUV, 8개월 연속 증가<br /><br />Sport utility vehicles have been gaining popularity here in South Korea in recent years... and now take up almost half of domestic car sales.<br />According to industry data, sales of recreational vehicles like SUVs so far this year... accounted for roughly 290-thousand units out of a total of 610-thousand cars sold.<br />Both domestic and imported SUVs are popular, but sales of Korea-made SUVs rose 12 percent compared to the same period last year.<br />Sales of smaller vehicles, on the other hand, dropped by around 19 percent during the same period.<br />SUV sales are expected to keep rising, and by the end of the year, account for more than half of all sales. <br />
