질본 "국내 말라리아 2021년까지 재퇴치"… 2024년 WHO 인증 목표<br /><br />South Korea plans to eradicate malaria in the country by 2021 and get international recognition as a nation free of that virus.<br />The Korea Centers for Disease Control & Prevention announced its plans to gain that WHO recognition by 2024.<br />South Korea currently has the most reported cases of the disease among OECD members, with one in a hundred-thousand people being infected last year.<br />About ninety percent of the cases occur near the demilitarized zone in Incheon, Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Provinces. <br />
