신화통신 "시진핑, 20~21일 북한 국빈방문"<br /><br />Chinese President Xi Jinping is to pay a state visit to North Korea for two days starting on June 20th at the invitation of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.<br />The announcement was made by Hu Zhaoming, spokesperson for the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, according to China's Xinhua News Agency.<br />Xinhua added that the visit comes not only on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pyeongyang-Beijing ties,... but also as an effort to build on past successes to further advance their relation. <br />North Korean state media Korea Central TV also announced Xi's visit. <br />It's the first time the Chinese president will be visiting North Korea since he came into office in 2013,... and it's seen as a reciprocal visit to Kim's 4th trip to Beijing in January. <br />This will be the first time a Chinese leader visits Pyeongyang, since Hu Jintao's visit in 2005. <br />
