Good morning. An unexpected bout of heavy rain as well as thunder and lightning in the capital woke people up early this morning. Seoul saw more than 5 millimeters of rainfall in just a couple of hours. Expect thunderstorms with more lightning throughout morning, so have your rain gear ready.<br /><br />The showers will let up shortly but expect another band of rain to sweep over this afternoon, it will be stormy one and it could linger into tomorrow.<br /><br />Temperatures will be similar to slightly higher than yesterday. Southern provinces including Daegu will see highs above 30 degrees Celsius with no rain in store for most southern regions.<br /><br />For a closer look, morning temperatures are ranging between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius.
