오늘 국무회의서 윤석열 검찰총장 후보자 인사발령안 의결<br /><br />The South Korean cabinet has endorsed the nomination of the country's soon-to-be new prosecutor general, Yoon Seok-yeol.<br />Yoon was named by President Moon Jae-in on Monday as his replacement for Moon Moo-il, who retires next month.<br />The Cabinet approved his nomination this morning in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon,... as required by the Constitution.<br />After the President gives his approval,... Yoon's nomination will go to the National Assembly.<br />There'll be a hearing on his nomination,... but the president can appoint him even without the Assembly's approval.<br />The hearing has to be complete within 20 days after the request is sent, but lawmakers can get another ten days if they need it. <br />
