Ahead of his two-day visit to North Korea, Chinese President Xi Jinping wrote an op-ed for the North's ruling party newspaper Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday.<br />There, he stressed that China will strengthen its communication and coordination with North Korea to work towards peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.<br />Saying that China is happy to see a historic opportunity to resolve the Korean Peninsula issue,... the Chinese President emphasized that Beijing is willing to draft together with North Korea some long-term plans for lasting peace in the region.<br />Xi expressed support towards the North's new policy direction to develop the economy and improve North Korean's livelihoods.<br /><br />
