US Authorities Seize Nearly <br />$1 Billion Worth of Cocaine According to NBC News, the bust occurred at a shipping port <br />in Philadelphia. The cocaine, which was reported to be around 15,000 kilos, was found on a cargo ship. Beforehand, the vessel made multiple stops, including in the Bahamas. U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania William McSwain says it is "one of the <br />biggest drug busts in American history." William McSwain, via Twitter So far, two crew members on the ship, the MSC Gayane, have <br />been arrested. They have been charged with intentionally trying to sell the drug. The bust comes as the CDC reports that <br />cocaine-fueled fatalities are rising in the U.S.
