India Will Overtake China as <br />Most Populous Country The United Nations reports that India's population will surpass China's in less than 10 years. China and India account for 37% of the 7.7 billion global population. China's population is 1.4 billion while India's is 1.3 billion. China's population is expected to shrink by 31.4 million from 2019 <br />to 2050. This will make China's population <br />1.1 billion, less than the 1.5 billion predicted for India. The report projects the global population will be 9.7 billion by 2050.
