The gun believed to have been used by the famous Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh to commit suicide in 1890, was auctioned off in Paris this week for about 182-thousand U.S. dollars.<br />An anonymous phone bidder paid almost three times the price experts had estimated they'd get for the rusted Lefaucheux revolver.<br />Van Gogh shot himself in the chest but failed to kill himself immediately and died two days later.<br />The gun was not found until the 1960s until it was discovered by a farmer and ended up in the possession of a woman whose child was the seller.<br /><br />
