신북방 핵심국 러시아와 서비스, 투자 FTA 협상 개시<br /><br />South Korea and Russia have started free trade talks for the service and investment sector.<br />Korea is looking to diversify its export portfolio and cope with growing protectionism around the world.<br />The announcement by Seoul's Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee earlier today comes after the two countries agreed to start such negotiations last June. <br />The recent talks with Moscow are the latest in a series of efforts by Korea to expand its FTA networks and reduce its trade dependency on the U.S. and China. <br />The discussions are also part of Korea's so-called New Northern Policy that aims to boost ties with Eurasian countries. <br />
