Protesters from the Extinction Rebellion group held a protest in midtown Manhattan on Saturday, demanding action over the 'climate emergency'.<br /><br />After gathering in Bryant Park they marched through central New York until they reached the New York Times' head office, where they scaled the building and a Port Authority building next door.<br /><br />The protesters also blocked the street below, where police made a number of arrests.<br /><br />A spokeswoman for Extinction Rebellion, Eve Mosher, said the group wants the media to report on "the climate emergency" so that "people can start pushing for more radical responses."
