문 대통령 "평화 한반도 만드는 것이 참전용사에 보답하는 길"<br /><br />President Moon Jae-in is emphasizing the need to continue working to build permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.<br />A day ahead of the 69th anniversary of the Korean War, which started on June 25th,... the president held a luncheon at the Blue House on Monday with around 180 war veterans and their families.<br />There, he said that although open combat has ended,... that does not mean that the war itself has ended.<br />Here's the president.<br />"On July 27, 1953, the gunsmoke cleared, but the war was not completely over. I believe that creating a peaceful Korean Peninsula, free from worry about another war, is the true way to repay the sacrifices you made in wartime."<br />President Moon also highlighted that at the center of the Korean War... was the U.S.<br />Americans, he said, were the ones who sacrificed the most,... and that both countries will remember their great alliance and together open the road to permanent peace. <br />
