Tom Hardy Is Officially Returning for 'Venom' Sequel The producer of the original film, Amy Pascal, has revealed that the 41-year-old actor will <br />be reprising his role. Hardy will again play the titular Symbiote A.K.A. Eddie Brock in the new movie, which is set for release in 2020. Amy Pascal, to Fandango The 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' producer explained that the first film was such a commercial success thanks to Sony "giving it a life," as well as Hardy's memorable performance in the role. Pascal also hinted she has "big plans" for Hardy's Venom to cross over with Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the near future. She wants the characters to appear in a Marvel and Sony Pictures crossover.
