2026 Winter Olympics <br />to Be Held in Italy The games will be set in the northern areas of Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Italy, which last held the <br />Winter Olympics in 2006, beat <br />out Sweden for hosting duties. Italy PM Giuseppe Conte, via IOC @Olympics, via Twitter Cortina d'Ampezzo previously hosted the games over <br />60 years ago in 1956. Recently, the Winter Olympics have been <br />held in Sochi, Russia, in 2014 and <br />Pyeongchang, South Korea, in 2018. For 2022, they will be <br />hosted by Beijing, China.
