Hongkongers are continuing to rail against the government's controversial extradition bill that would allow criminal suspects to be sent to mainland China for trial.<br />Starry Lee, the head of Hong Kong's largest pro-Beijing party, the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong, says her party's supporters will understand if the government decides to scrap the bill altogether.<br />In an interview with the South China Morning Post on Monday, Lee agreed that the massive protests showed how only suspending the bill is neither practical nor focused.<br />Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam had suspended the extradition bill but protesters continue to demand its complete withdrawal and for her to step down.<br />
