A South Korean consortium has secured a five-year maintenance deal for a nulcear plant in United Arab Emirates.<br />Seoul's trade ministry says the consortium of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and KEPCO KPS won the long-term agreement to maintain the UAE's plant in Barakah.<br />The contract also calls for the consortium to provide experienced manpower to Nawah Energy Company, the operator of the plant.<br />KEPCO has been building four APR-1400 reactors in Barakah.<br />One of those units will have its first test run next year.<br />However, the scope of the deal was smaller than hoped as the South Korean firms had been pushing for a 15-year contract.<br />
