During WLTP certification, the Mercedes-Benz emissions laboratory in Stuttgart conducts emission tests on dynamometers under standartized and reproduceable conditions in the presence of a technical verification service. Before the measurements, the vehicles are preconditioned at a legally defined an prescribed test temperature.<br /><br />During WLTP certification, compliance with various limiting values must be verified. One of these values is the particulate mass in the exhaust gases that is retained in a filter during an emission test. An automated, gravimetric measuring system is used to determine the retained particulate mass.
