WFP "올해 대북 식량지원에 2천만달러 더 필요"<br /><br />The World Food Programme says an additional 20 million U.S. dollars are needed until November to maintain its current food support to North Korea.<br />The WFP currently secured a little under 30 million dollars worth of funding until May,... just over half the total requirement for this year. <br />It includes... not only the cost of food,... but also shipping and other expenditures. <br />According to their latest report the organization helped 6-hundred-11-thousand North Koreans last month, providing 16-hundred metric tons of fortified food,... and about a thousand metric tons of maize. <br />However, heavy sanctions had unintended consequences of delaying transportation,... among other side effects.<br />The WFP announced that over 10 million people in the regime,... or about 40 percent of the population... are suffering from food shortages. <br />
