Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo Takes <br />Home NBA MVP Award He beat out defending MVP James Harden, <br />who finished second in the voting. Antetokounmpo is just the second player <br />in Bucks franchise history <br />to win the honor since 1974. That year, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar won the third of his three MVP Awards with Milwaukee. Over the past four decades, the 24-year-old Antetokounmpo is the third-youngest MVP winner. He is also the <br />fifth foreign-born player <br />to claim the award. In his sixth year in the NBA, the <br />"Greek Freak" averaged <br />27.7 points and 12.5 rebounds. The six-foot 11-inch forward also <br />led the Bucks to the NBA's best record <br />during the 2018-19 regular season. Milwaukee went on to reach the <br />Eastern Conference Finals, where <br />they fell to the Raptors in six games.
