A cruise ship is a luxurious sea vessel that is used to take passengers on a pleasure voyage. The journey is designated to form much of the delightful experience as the destination.Cruise ships are different from cargo ships. A cargo ship is a merchant ship that carries cargo goods and materials from one port to another.<br /><br />In February 2019, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala said plans are on course to introduce a cruise ship on the Indian Ocean at the Kenyan coast.<br /><br />CS Balala said this after engaging cruise operators at a convention in Miami.<br /><br />“We are working on a modality to have a cruise operator to be home-based to do the Indian Ocean circuit but it takes long term planning,” CS Balala said.<br /><br />Mr Balala said the Kenya Tourism Board will have a department to market and concentrate on cruise ship product.<br /><br />The world’s largest cruise ship is known as ‘Symphony Of The Seas’ from Royal Caribbean. The massive ship holds over 6,000 guests across 18 different decks.<br /><br />Some of the amenities in the ship include: 22 restaurants, 42 bars, 24 swimming pools, waterslides, a central park planted 52 trees and 20,000 bushes.
