France Hits Its Highest
Temperature Ever During Heat Wave CNN reports that the commune of Villevieille
in the southern part of the country has
recorded 45.1 degrees Celsius. That is 113.2 Fahrenheit and the hottest temperature on record in
France's history. The previous record was
set in 2003 and is
just one degree less. Back then, an epic heat wave left thousands of people dead in France. Now, the country is going through another intense round of
scorching heat. In addition, temperatures also
are much higher than usual
for this time of the year. Typically, France, like many other countries,
experiences its hottest weather
in July and August. This includes installed mist showers and cooling rooms in public and
in certain buildings.
