Texas plane crash leaves 10 dead

ADDISON, TEXAS — A private plane crashed into an airport hanger in Texas on Sunday, leaving behind no survivors.<br /><br />The aircraft was a twin-engine Beechcraft BE-350 King Air, NBC News reports.<br /><br />Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford told the Dallas News that the plane crashed into the hanger at 9.10 a.m. during takeoff from Addison Airport in Texas.<br /><br />No one was inside the hanger during the time of the accident.<br /><br />Citing a statement from the FAA, NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth reports, the aircraft was completely destroyed by flames killing all 10 onboard. Officials have yet to release the names of the victims.<br /><br />The plane was headed from Addison, Texas to St. Petersburg, Florida, reports CNN.<br /><br />Both the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Association will send a team to investigate the cause of the accident, according to CNN.<br /><br />Judge Clay Jenkins, a Dallas County judge, tweeted, "Please pray for the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy. Team in process of notifying them."<br /><br />Airport operations resumed around 45 minutes after the crash, as reported by The Dallas News.
