Um antigo vulcão extinto que teve origem no mar e se juntou à cidade de Angra do Heroísmo. <br />Actualmente é uma paisagem protegida e o parque natural da cidade, com espécies arbóreas e <br />arbustivas de especial interesse e com excelentes miradouros. No Monte Brasil encontra-se implantado <br />o Castelo de S. João Baptista.<br /><br />Monte Brasil is an extinct volcano that emerged from the sea to join the city of Angra do Heroísmo. <br />Today, it is a protected landscape and the city’s natural park.
