A deadly fire that broke out Monday on a Russian navy research submarine has killed 14 crew members onboard.<br />Russia's Defense Ministry gave no details about the vessel involved on Tuesday or how many crew were onboard at the time, but Russian media reported it was a nuclear-powered submarine designed for sensitive missions at great depths.<br />After the blaze was extinguished, the vessel was moved to the main base of the Russian Northern Fleet for further investigation.<br />Russian President Vladimir Putin, who called an emergency meeting with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, expressed his condolences to the victims' families.<br />
